July 8th - Wolf Eels are not actually eels - they are fish.  They can grow to over 2 metres in length and are commonly found in our fishing areas around the favourite rocks and points.  Wolf eels feed mainly on crabs and sea urchins, crushing the shells open with their strong jaws and bony plates on their tongues and the roof of the mouth.
